Although the Knicks have been brimming with confidence having won four consecutive games, that streak might be in jeopardy tonight as a finger injury suffered at Charlotte on Wednesday could keep Carmelo Anthony out of the line-up. Anthony had been averaging 30.7-ppg in his last six appearances but a deep cut to his left middle finger in the fourth quarter took the all-star out of the game with his status listed as questionable for tonight's game on TNT. New York was still able to hold onto a 100-98 win on the road but failed to cover the 7.5-point spread as favorites to go 11-6 ATS for the season. With Anthony out, J.R. Smith took the court and hit a fall away jumper as time expired to give New York the 2-point win and maintain the best record in the Eastern Conference. Anthony had five stitches and will more than likely give it a go but for New York to pull off the upset, the bench including Smith, will need to play like its the Finals. Handicapping trends for Knicks vs Heat odds have New York listed as underdogs since recently going 2-7 SU and 2-5-1 ATS when playing Miami and also 1-3-1 ATS at AmercanAirlines Arena. The Miami Heat had won 6-straight games before losing an embarrassing 101-105 decision at the Washington Wizards on Tuesday as 10-point favorites to drop to a mediocre 5-4-1 ATS mark on the year. LeBron James recorded his 33rd regular season triple double of his career netting 26-points, 13-rebounds and 11-assists while Dwayne Wade chipped in 24-points and 3-assists in the loss to Washington. James has been hard to stop when playing the Knicks averaging 30.6-points per game in the last 18-match-ups during the regular season while Wade has been just as difficult averaging 30.3-ppg in the last 13-games for the series. Although both James and Wade have said that they simply "need to move on", you can expect Miami to bounce back in a big way on Thursday night as they start the first of a six game home stand. Knicks vs Heat odds and trends favor Miami as they look to remain unbeaten at home recently going 6-1 SU and 5-0 when playing in south Florida, the squad has also gone a worrisome 1-4 against the spread in their last five games.
