The squad will need to defeat Alabama and LSU if they are to win a national championship as the Razorbacks are 25/1 longshots in BCS predictions for 2013.
Arkansas finished last year with a 29-16 win over the Kansas State Wildcats in the Cotton Bowl and many handicappers are expecting a similar season if not better that could see earn the Razorbacks a shot at the championship game. The "hogs" will return senior QB Tyler Wilson who finished last season throwing 3,638-yards for 24-touchdowns and 6-interceptions while senior RB Dennis Johnson will look to better last year's efforts of 670-yards for 3-touchdowns. The Razorback faithful are eager to fill the seats at Donald W. Reynolds Stadium in Fayetteville to support a national championship season for the cardinal and white however bookmakers in Vegas have listed Arkansas as 25/1 longshots in BCS predictions for 2013 to win the national championship, 8/1 to win the SEC conference and 5/1 to win the west division.
The Arkansas Razorback will open the college football week 1 schedule at home starting on September 1st against the Jacksonville State Gamecocks at 7:00pm EST which can be seen live on ESPN3 before traveling to face the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks on September 8th at 7:00pm EST which can be seen on ESPNU. Arkansas will then have two straight home games starting with a tough battle against the Alabama Crimson Tide on September 15th for week 3 action on CBS before hosting the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on September 22nd. The Razorbacks will then head down south to face the Texas A&M Aggies on September 29th and stay on the road in week 6 action when they face the Auburn Tigers on October 6th before heading back to Donald W. Reynolds Stadium for three straight home games.
The college football week 7 schedule has the Arkansas Razorback at home to face the Kentucky Wildcats on October 13th and then welcome the Ole Miss Rebels on October 27th. The "hogs" will start the month of November with a home game on the 3rd against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. BCS predictions for 2013 to win the national championship have the Razorbacks listed as 25/1 longshots to win the title and will need to be ready for the last three games of the season. Arkansas will first travel to face the South Carolina Gamecocks on November 10th before visiting the Mississippi State Bulldogs on November 17th and ending the year at home against the LSU Tigers on November 23rd at 2:30pm EST which can be seen on CBS College Sports.
